Nicholson’s Manager of Safety, Jason Timmons, will be presenting “Shifting to Operations Driven Safety” at the National Safety Council’s annual congress in Indianapolis this fall.
A joint
presentation with Christina Schulz of safety performance consultants the Hile
Group, Timmons will outline the dramatic changes in Nicholson’s safety culture
that have led to historically low incident and injury rates.
“As a result of a coordinated, company-wide effort, we’ve been able to take Nicholson’s safety record to an all-time low,” said Timmons. “The employees in the field and in the office have taken this safety initiative and turned it into a safety mindset and a safety culture. This effort has been so successful, we’re actually applying the model to other areas of business—and we’re really proud of that.”
The National Safety Council (NSC) is a non-profit organization with the mission of eliminating preventable deaths at work, in homes and communities and on the road through leadership, research education and advocacy. The NSC advances this mission by engaging businesses, government agencies, elected officials and the public to help avoid the fourth leading cause of death in the United States—preventable injuries.
