Nicholson Holds Company-Wide Safety Day
PITTSBURGH, PA – April 1, 2010 – Nicholson Construction Company recently held a special company-wide Safety Day on March 24, 2010. Meetings were held at every Nicholson office, project site, and shop facility to discuss corporate safety initiatives. Nicholson’s parent company, Soletanche Bachy declared March 2010 as a Safety Month for all business units and project sites worldwide.
The meetings included discussions on a wide range of safety topics including hazard identification, near-miss and hazard reporting, the effects of substance abuse, and Nicholson’s ongoing commitment to an Incident and Injury Free culture. ”The focus of the Safety Day was to educate associates and emphasize the importance of safety whether at work or at home. Conducting the Safety Day was a great opportunity to reach all associates across the organization to discuss and raise our level of safety awareness,” said Jason Timmons, Nicholson’s Manager of Safety.
